Trinational KTUR Summer School Entrepreneurship

On the way to your own company
The Trinational KTUR Summer School provides first-hand insights into the dynamic world of entrepreneurs. Over the course of a week, the big questions of any business are examined from a practical perspective: What is my business model? How do I make money? Where does the funding come from? How can I attract enough customers? Am I suitable as an entrepreneur? What is a business plan? How do I attract and motivate employees?
Furthermore, do you enjoy meeting students from Germany and France and extend your network in the Upper Rhine Region? Then this Summer School is for you. It is a collaboration across borders between University of Strasbourg, University of Freiburg and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. The class will compromise of students from all three countries and we will have inputs from lecturers and founders from the different universities.
The sessions are interactive and each day there is time to apply the tools and techniques to business ideas from the class in interdisciplinary teams.

Business idea generation and development of business models – how can I come up with a business idea? How can i evaluate? What is a business model?
Tuesday, 29 August 2023, Freiburg
Intercultural Management across the Trinational Region, pitching and market analysis – how do cultures differ and how to manage it? How to present my idea? Who is your customer? Who is your competitor?
Wednesday, 30 August 2023, Basel
Market entry and Minimum Viable Product – how does a marketing strategy look like? How do I reach my customers? And how can I quickly test my business idea with the available resources in an efficient manner?
Thursday, 31 August 2023, Basel
Funding, financials and your founding team – does my idea work financially? How much money do I need and where do I get it from? What to consider when starting my team?
Friday, 1 September 2023 Straßbourg
The groups pitch their business models to an international jury and get feedback on how to take their idea to the next stage. We will also look into the ecosystem and where you can get further support.
Who can apply?
Students from all universities at all elvels in the Upper Rhine-region, as well as international students from all over the world.
No prior knowledge or business idea requred
Costs
Participation is free of charge.
Transportation and acommodation costs are borne by the participants
ECTS
The Summer School gives 2 ECTS. Active participation during the whole week is required to receive the credits.
